Matagorda Harbor Rules & Regulations
- Marina patrons shall park in designated spaces only. Boat trailers shall be parked in the trailer parking area at the rear of the marina (behind Boathouse A).
- The speed limit in the marina is 15mph.
- There will be no fish cleaning or BBQ pits inside boathouses; further, patrons will not attempt to refuel boats inside boathouses.
- Oil and gas containers shall be stored inside dock boxes or inside boats. Do not leave oil and gas containers on the dock.
- Patrons shall not attempt to make any unauthorized repairs or alterations to boat lifts, including cables, slings, or electrical fixtures. Any problems should be reported to marina management.
- Used and contaminated motor, hydraulic, and 2-cycle oil shall be disposed of in the oil recycling tank located in the trailer parking area. Old batteries shall be stacked neatly behind the dumpsters.
- Children under 12 years of age shall not be left unattended and must wear life jackets while in boathouses.
- Each boathouse has a dock cart for your convenience. Please return the dock cart to the front of the boathouse when you are finished. Do not make your neighbors look for it.
- Please pull boathouse door closed when you leave. Anyone who has any business in the boathouses should have their own key.
- Boat house keys and security gate cards must be returned before any deposits can be refunded.
- Additional security gate cards can be obtained for a $25.00 deposit each with a limit of three (3) cards per boat slip and RV space rented. Lost or destroyed cards will be deactivated and can be replaced for $10.00 each.
- Additional keys can be obtained for a $25.00 deposit each. This deposit is fully refundable upon return of the key(s).
- If boat is to be removed from slip for more than 3 days, patrons will raise the slings out of the water to prevent marine growth.
- Matagorda Harbor is a NO WAKE marina.
- No major repairs shall be made to vessels in the marina unless given emergency status by the Harbormaster. Matagorda Harbor is not a shipyard.
- All pets are required to be on a leash. There is a pet run located at the levee. You are responsible for cleaning up after your pets.
- No swimming in Harbor!
